(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so, I want a HD capture card for my PS3 but I need some help choosing between them...

So I obviously know about the Hauppage HDPVR but when I was looking at some photos of it I saw no HDMI only the HD components which I thought were lower quality+there is a capture card called a XCM VBOX2 which uses HD component for half the price!

My next step was to search "HD PS3 capture cards" and I found the Blackmagic shuttle but just as I was going to buy one I realised that it didn't use USB 2.0 it used USB 3.0 which I dont think I have on my laptop!

Also could anyone tell me if I can play in HDMI 1080p and record in component HD 540/720p(PLZ CORRECT ME)

Thanks

No, you can't play in HDMI and record in component... already tried and failed myself.

Not at all... It's so minimal to human eyes, you wouldn't think you were playing on component. The only major quality difference is the audio, and you can only tell that if you have a $1000 surround sound system.... like me Happy
