(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok now i have seen many post on here about the error code 80029564 where your trying to download a demo or game and you just spent about 2 hours downloading it. You go to install it and you get the error. A few easy fixes to this are:

Dont ever hit background download. This often corrupts data. Then when you go to install it, data is missing and it wont install. So if your having this problem delete the game, demo, etc and re download it without hitting background download.

You can also quickly hit download in background and click on the download in the download management section. This way you can see how much megabytes are left. I did this with the call of duty 5 map pack after it failed to install.

Sometimes you can hit background download and never touch the ps3. this includes sending messages and especially playing a game. But your best bet is to not even touch background download.

I hope this helped at least some of you. Oh and i recommend stickying this since there is so many posts about this happening.

No it does not cost more money. Just go to the playstation store/view downloads then just click on your download.

Hey guys,
Well I've spent hours searching on the net for a fix to this error code and nothing has helped me. All I wanna do is a simple update download for COD5 and Battlefield: Bad Company and I can't. It downloads 100% fine, then goes to the install part... after about 10 seconds the stupid error comes up saying there was trouble installing etc
You can't do a background download for these updates anyway, so that's not the problem. Other suggestions have been; restore all the factory settings, change the internet settings and a few other setting changes... and still nothing.

Anyone know what the....?
