Anyway i use Gmail and i highly recommend it for it has little spam mail, but also it will show who an email was sent to if there are multiple receivers. For example, whenever you change the email for your account you will get an email saying so. Look at the pic below to see what i mean.

Notice that the receivers are me and a random bit of letters. So just use the email that it was changed to (in my case it's qwertassdfedfs), and use your security question to reset your password if they changed it.

I'm not sure if it does that with other emails, but I'm certain it works with Gmail. Remember to use a REAL email and make the security question, and date of birth something easy to remember!
