A real hacker doesn't hack to get things for free, they do it to get better and to run their own stuff. Think about this, the more we pirate things, the less money the companies get. Now that these companies are on a lower budget the games they make will be of lower quality. Now that these games suck no one will by them. Now the company is out of money and they no longer make games. Now we don't have any games to pirate. Now that there aren't any games people stop buying the playstation. Now sony is losing money and they go out of buisness. Now the psn is down so our hacks are usesless. Now what are you going to do?

Sure this is going to take a while to happen, but it will. I don't see why everyone wants free games anyway. Piracy seriously affects the economy, and we don't want to have a problem with that, not now.

You have a point but if they never made games £40+ they would actually make more profit of it. People would buy games if they never cost so much - lowering the price wouldn't eliminate piracy. Piracy will never be eliminated.

Its a good job I am not a "real hacker" I am just a copy and paster and I want free shit. I have been ****ed over by Sony too many times to give a flying **** if they go out of business. If they spent the money and got us some early map packs/releases etc etc then I would care.

1/100 will probably pirate there games, and that is not close to enough to ruin a multi billion dollar company. Only thing that will happen is the next console they release will have better security.

I have 2 folders in my \dev_hdd0 that say PS2emu, and they were there before I installed anything.... Possible? Yes... very.
