See, here is what I hope happens, I hope you sell it to someone, and they are heavy into PSN, like addicted to playing online, they get this and it is banned, so they come to your house, brake in the window with the ps3, the shards of glass stick into the body of the ps3 then they hit you with it and you get beat down.......
Just buy a new ps3, swap the internal parts with your old ps3, keep your hd and bring it back saying it doesnt work, then the only person getting hurt is sony for selling an 'defective' console.

Trust me, if you were to sell your "banned" ps3 on craigslist your not gonna get the amount you want for it, i know for a fact because i buy and sell ps3s on craigslist all the time....and also if you sell that "banned" system on craigslist without stating that it is "banned" then....that just F'd up.
