Check top left hand corner,says firmware 3.41 right?

I just installed NFS Hot pursuit and when i started it up after installing it, it came up with a message saying this requires 3.50 or over to run the game.
Something came up to install a patch for 3.50 software, i should have taken some pics but completely blanked out as i had dinner to go to.

Makes you wonder what this firmware actually is.....

Anyone else had this issue or anything similar?
