Also i know someone else found it aggrivating that his brother could get it but he couldn't; I had the same situation. I found out how to do it and figured I'd make an account on gamespot just to show you guys how to do it.

Im not sure if you can do this on any other game but it definitely works with resistance 2.

Regardless what game you're playing you will still not earn trophies so if you have definitely do this!

1. Play resistance 2 on the account with the problem and you won't earn the trophies, but play it on another psn account that you will be able to earn trophies (if you can't on the other file either then make another).
2. Look for a trophy which you think is easy enough to get on both of the profiles you're using (the one you can't earn trophies with and one you can).
3. Go on competitive or cooperative (so you can have someone else playing on the same console) and have you and another account logged in (this is possible because of the latest update). This other account has to be the one that won't earn trophies.
4. Meet the criteria for that trophy while on co-op or competitive and it will be rewarded to the 'good' account.
5. Log on to the 'bad' account and you will be rewarded with the same trophy (this is why both acconts need to have not earned the trophy already).
6. Now seeing as you've finally earned a trophy on that account you can start earning them again.
7. Do this process on all accounts that have the problem and/or if the problem happens again or persists (it worked for me first time (well i stumbled across this method )).

Requirements: Resistance 2, another account, a second player would help, and trophies left to earn.

Downsides:
1. You need the trophies available to earn first (this shouldnt be a problem because you can't earn them any more).
2. I'm not sure what you can do about the certain trophies that have been said unobtainable. (It happened to me on the "R.I.P. Jordan Shepherd" which is to beat the last boss, when I fixed it I beat him again and got it! But it also happened to me on the "Snipe Hunt" where you need to kill 30 spinners (little growling things that don't hurt you and are near the ones that burst out of the fleshy sacks). Seeing as I already killed 30 of them I don't know how to reach 30 again. I have my fingers crossed that when I hit 60 I'll get it, otherwise swap this Resistance 2 save to an empty account and start a new one on it and swap them back around (using a third account) and you would've earned the trophies which will be added to the psn account and that would've solved it again. )
3. It might take a short while, maximum 30 minutes.

Now go kick those chimeras' asses for me would you?

However I still don't know why it started to happen.

This happened to me seven times in total; three on campaign mode and four on cooperative .

So I recommend you fix it straight away so these trophies aren't wasted like some of mine might be :/.
