Eboot is signed with sony's private key. When starting something up the eboot looks somewhere in flash0 for the private key and when it matches, it launches. The EBOOT also contains game data/paths etc. Hex edit it after you unself it to investigate

So basicly its for booting stuff up after the playstation knows its okay to launch it, since it has the sony key... Which is made public ^^

What do you mean? It boots the game game, its kinda like an exe on the pc. Except its a bin or self on the ps3.

yea i just wanted to know what is was there for. i was thinking it had something to do with the boot of the game. just wanted to makesure but thanks
