I'm curious about it, I know that it will let you play and modify games, but I don't have any further information. I wanted to know if I can play online if I jailbroke it, if I have a chance to unjail it, etc. I'm scared of doing this as I bough my PS3 with a lot of effort, and in my country (Argentina) is really expensive (3000 pesos = 1000 dollars) so before **** up the PS3 I wanna have any information that could help me out to decide.

You can play online, And to "un-break" It you'll have to download the OFW from the official psn site. And simply place that in the UPDATE place in your usb and update via media.

since you would have to pay 1000$ you prolly shouldn't go online with a jailbreak bcuz geohots case isn't over and if sony decides to ban your fuc*ed.

Thanks for the info, I've been in the GeoHotz site but I still don't get the advantage of Jailbraking it.

And btw, 2 mins ago I found a guy asking that he can't play online with a Jailbroken PS3 because the "Multiman" didn't work well or something.

You can play online, unjailreaking is possible, its still unsure if getting banned will happen for now. Man is that a lot of cash for a Ps3!

Yes I know, but is how we live in here...things are expensive, country is corrupt, you can dig in around the net searching for Argentina, you will really be amazed.
I hope sometime this can change, Elections are in this year

Yes you are able to get your ps3 un-jailbroken all you need to do is the same thing you done to jailbreak your ps3 but with the OFW
if you would like a link i would be happy to get you one.

and also there is alot more to jailbroken ps3 then modded games and backups. even i still have alot to learn about it.
