Here are a few guess's...
1. Change what server the eboot connects to.
2. Change the version within the eboot.
If these are wrong please don't hold them against me. I mean everyone has to have a first time to be introduced to something..
it has to be one of those ways... because how do patches lead us onto a server.. either a version number or something in the eboot that tells our blackops where to go.
there must be a reference in the eboot like how we found the XML to download the debug patches...
tonight im just going to scroll through both Eboot. and t5mp in IDA and see if i can find something..

that quote could have many meanings.. patch as in .ff or u could be talking about .self mods.
but we cant look inside of the fastfiles as we dont have RSA keys. looking into them could determine if the .ff tells blackops what server or the .self tells blackops what server.
