Can’t trickshot me!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Today i got off the phone to sony because i needed to know about why my ps3 wont read some games i told them the error that comes up and they said i would need a replacement and they said it would cost me £134 to do so, however on my ps3 i have the custom firmware on it if i were to remove it would sony be able to tell its been on their even thoe i payed for the replaecement does sony have the right to ban me or refuse to replace it.

ps. My work mate said to me i could get prosecuted if i tell them it ad a custom firmware on it.

theres a homebrew you can download and it wipes the history clean and you should install OFW and delete all homebrew.

^^What he said is true. I'd also run a full format which can take up to 8 hours. Then reset to default settings to remove any trace of CFW, homebrew, logs etc...

The ps bit how u can get prosecuted for CFW how can they do that if u legitmately own that console you can do want you want

If it still has the CFW still on it then yes they will have the right to refuse replacement but they will never prosecute you. Get rid of the Cfw and you will be fine. But tbh i would not be paying that amount of money. Your local computer store should be able to fix it for half the price. Hope all goes well for you.
