Sony do not own a PlayStation if they sell it to you they own the brand 'PLAYSTATION' You are fully responsible for your PlayStation if you break it. If you still have the warranty on it Sony should fix it for free.

If this is a CFW and your PlayStation has bricked or been banned your warranty has automatically been voided and Sony will not fix your PlayStation for free as it is against there terms and conditions.
