So all there saying is if you hacked your PS3 on the 2/1/11 you will receive a error message when you turn on your PS3, that means basically that they bricked your PS3... It will mean that you wont be able to play any game online or offline, watch any movies, really do anything at all with your PS3. Everything would be disabled.

Now my question is: Is this even ****ING legal because its our console we paid $200 - $500 for it and now we cant even switch it on...

If its not then somebody get on the phone to there lawyer...

Legally we own the system not the software, now if we actually bought software disks with our PS3's it'd be a different story.

There not doing it by patching the LV1 and LV2 there saying they are going to brick our PS3 on purpose because we hacked. (And I didn't even hack ANYTHING)

And what about the hardware? We brought that thats ours, they cant go around corrupting our hardware...

And all they are doing is corrupting the software, if you could build your own complete software for the ps3 and install it I think your ps3 would still work.

is it legal? i think it probably is. if you mess about with the console to cheat, then they need to show it wont be tolerated. if they ban you then you wont do it again.

Scare tactics and you lot are falling for it hook line and sinker. If you dont update then they cant "BRICK" you simples. They cant force a update to your PS3, you have to accept it first.

All of those who rushed to update to 3.56, shame on you for getting banned. Just chill for a bit and see what happens.

We will see, what happens. Its my PS3, i payed enough money for it. I have used the JB only to change MW2 Patches, never "stolen" a game from them. I think they cant do anything legally. Until now, i havent done the update ... :dingding:

Yeah It might just be a scare, to make us go on 3.56.
