I went on it today it says I have to plug in my pad with a usb? (The charger) I do it. It says (Press PS Button) I do then My pad just keeps flashing then aventually turns of. Why is this? :wtf:

You have to get the charger that came with your ps3, then turn it on once thats plugged in, if it doesn't work try the other charger port (Yes, the left port doesn't work for some people)

try to put in your charge usb cable first ( in controller )

then Turn on Ps3 with the controller or manual.

if doesnt help plz post back ill try to find it out then

I don't get you're trying to show me. I re-formated and when I put my charger in and my pad. (It says I have to do so) It says plug your pad in with your charger and press PS button. When I do so nothing happens.

How do I put my PS3 in recovery mode?

Step 1: Turn the Playstation 3 system and access the XMB menu.

Step 2: Now with being in XMB menu, Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.

Step 3: Hold the power button when your Playstation 3 is in Stand by ("Red Light"), after sometime your PS3 will turn on with one beep and than few second later another beep. After that it will be off and goes back to stand by ("Red Light).

Step 4: With your Playstation 3 once again in Stand by (Red Light), hold on the power button, your console turns on with a single beep and after few seconds two more beep, as you hear two beeps release the power button. Now PS3 will take some time and will goes into the Recovery mode.

Step 5: To complete your step to have an access to Recovery mode, Playstation 3 will prompt you to connect the remote to Playstation 3 through USB and than press PS button.

My PS3 just keeps turning of an on.

The only thing i know is that your firmware is dead and u need to reinstall somehow
