My two stepsons have an account, and one of their's will not load into the title sequence. It is the only account on the PS3 that won't load. I tried his account on a second PS3 in the house and it loads fine, so it's not a ban issue.

I have deleted both save and game utilities, but no luck. Screen goes black, I hear a faint chime in the background (like when you hit circle to back out) and then it perpetually loads the black screen. I get the whirring Black Ops loading sound, like whom-whom-whom-whom, but it never loads the title sequence. I also cannot access the PS button functions like Quit Game, etc. I can only hard reset the PS3, or eject the disc manually - which then reloads the XMB fine.

Any help or suggestions? Like I said, it's just this one account on one of my PS3's, and it can be a nuisance since my wife likes playing Little Big Planet 2 on the other machine, so no luck for my stepson...

This happened to me, I had to use FTP and delete my BO trophies folder.

Well, I tried doing that trophy.dat swap awhile ago on my main account ans deleted the trophy info. That was awhile ago,and it really only affected my account. I upgraded to 3.56 after removing all my homebrew apps. I just don't know why only his account is affected. So I may be screwed without the FTP, huh?
