Of course the cats out of the bag now and 3.56 which is the latest firmware version was hacked within hours of its release, but the update getting cracked also helped ban many jailbroken consoles get banned from Black Ops with many hackers facing console bans off Treyarch servers. Maybe there is still some hope of keeping the hackers out of the games which many others wish to enjoy without some 12 year old kid coming on PSN and hacking his way through the leaderboards using homebrew applications on his jailbroken PS3.:plank:

That was known since day 1 of the TRO...And this has been already commented and posted in a thread (of GeoHot TRO) by me.

he beat apple in the courts a supreme judge found it within your legal rights to load homebrew onto closed curcuit electronics i.e phones and the new law specifically states phones ... so Apple has no leg to stand on even if Sony wins

Doesn't matter if he won. Apple still has grounds to sue him.
If Sony and Apple team up, its game over.
He won the case for rights to jailbreak. Sony and Apple have grounds to sue for piracy and shit like that. Go on modmyi.com and read some of the articles in the news section.
Apple can sue because somebody made a way to skirt Apple's purchase system in iTunes to be used on jailbroken devices. They can link that to his progress and therefor make him liable.
