Well in most cases when your trying to turn on your ps3 and you get a yellow flashing light. But if your worrying about sony bricking your ps3s thats strictly illegal and its vandalism and u can take them to court and sue their asses.

they cant give you yellow light of death idiot. YLOD Has to do with hardware issues

No The Flashing Yellow Light is The YLOD (Yellow Light of Death) Ive had to fix mine myself about 5 times, Bricked is pretty much where your PS3 is a useless BRICK. Where when your Ps3 wont allow you to play it at all! Turn on then Instant turn off or black screen.
