Where is that located and where can i delete it? damn i been on this forum since like 09 and i feel like such a n00b lols

You need a special formating software for anything over i think its 4 gigs, also your back up is probably including all your game updates and such, which isnt a bad thing though.

Have a look in your Game data utility and delete any patches/install that you no longer need. The Ps3 Os takes up quite a bit, and also you do know that your 500Gb isn't actually 500Gb yeah, that's why you only had 465gb, then the Ps3 OS on top.
