Seriously just update theres nothing too loose, and when the 3.56 CFW Comes out you can just update straight from there. Why just sit there and watch your PS3 get dusty in the corner of your living room.

There have been many questions that have not been answered as of now. Everyone is scared to update because they are either, afraid of getting bricked or just plain don't want to give up their CFW.
