You don't own PSN, it's Sony's and you use it. If you don't update you are restricted to use it, and you can't do shit about it since it belongs to Sony. They can stop you from signing in when you don't update.

we dont own it yea your right but it was sold to us as a feature of the PS3 when did anyone that sold it to you say o and btw if you decide to not update to maby jus keep linux you cant play on PSN and newer games wont work? So **** them if we find away to get on their servers again or a new cfw/exploit. Why should we have to fight for what should be ours in the first place. On another note i believe in piracy for one reason Sony deserves some losses.

Never said I was against trying to find an exploit, I'm all for it. I do want to sign in, I was just saying that it was a smart and fair move on Sony's part. And yes, PSN belongs to Sony; it was a feature provided with the PS3 that we do not own, unlike the console.

I honestly could care less if it's a good product and I want it then I'll buy it if not I won't it's as simple as that

Why is there no option of "I think that they are doing somewhat of the right thing for their company by doing the updates, but I don't like it because I use all of the 3.55 CFW stuff, but I'll still buy Sony stuff because I like the PS3."

3.55 vs. 3.41? Kind of the same thing, other than different FWs. And you saying you believe in piracy because you want Sony to lose profit? I just don't think you can actually afford the game. Most people on here are against the piracy stuff, but like being able to back up games they own so disc changing doesn't have to be done.
