I did and it just wont connect

Reconfigure your connection, then reconfigure the Ps3's connection. If the problem persists, check your box or whatever your Ps3 is connected to for irregular lights or blinking and try contacting your ISP.

You will have to tweak your internet connections to make sure the PS3 can get signals from your router
