If you are worried about getting YLOD, let it cool down for atleast 4-5 hours. Remove the power cord. Place the fans atleast 1 ft. away from any walls or cabinets.

You may want to clean it out, also.

Yup you are probably going to get ylod soon ( i had fat 40gb ps3 which i had for 3 years and it started freezing and the fan noise was ...... )

i would trade it in for a new ps3 or send it in for a new fan

Mine does a really loud rumor when it's running for more then 2 hours, it started doing this months ago but i don't get any freezing 'n' shit. I think it's normal because i never cleaned it's fan and i bought it 2-3 years ago.

Let it cool down & get a very cold towl & just rub it around the ps3 like your cleaning it.
