I am here today to tell you that my PS3 keeps freezing, switching off. then the RED light is beeping several times.

It does come back on but it does this every half hour.

I tried using a hairdryer but no luck. I need to know how to fix it without going the shop or leaving it to rot.


Please if anybody knows any other ways. tell me. I will appreciate it a hell of alot.

You should report it and ask for to be moved in Playstation 3 Questions maybe?

Anyhow, that same thing happened to me this summer. It was so hot and i played it for so many hours without let it cool down that it keept freezing and beeping. I gave the ps3 some rest for 30hrs then it worked like a sharm afterwards. But i doubt our ps3s have the same diseases. They sure have the same symptoms (Been watching House to much)

Did I mention I have an std when I was fixing your ps3 Fan ? I used the tutorial posted in the shout box . :carling:

so if i leave my hairdryer on all day next to it.. it will be all good, or if i buy a fan.

DONT LEAVE A HAIRDRYER ON NEXT TO IT . It will melt it And will brake .

i got ylod last week .... tried hairdryer thing .. still dont work
and im not paying sony to fix it when they should fixing it free of charge ..
