schools have very good internet connections
same as my school and @ home i get around download 5,6 Mb/Sec @ Utorrent

Internet in USA is not that cheap compared to Japan or Korea, they have 4 times the internet speed of average American ISPs for half the price of some of the American ISP's top package.

But look at your download speed. Upload doesn't matter much when playing online games.
