Are you running off a wireless connection or is it hard-wired to your router?

i never did a OPEN your nat TUT or anything like that. and i never have problems opening it up.

IF my nat is strict or moderite. i backout to the main-menu and and go back to multiplayer and its OPen.

and if it still don't work reset you ps3 and internet router.

[this always works for me so if it don't work jus let me kno]

owke how to do this :

UpNp : Enable
Portforward : just if you know how Winky Winky

CHANGE you PS3 Ip Winky Winky

so mine is like 192.168.1.158 and that was moderate
so i change it to 192.168.1.103 and now its open Winky Winky

i just changed the Ip adress did nothing else Winky Winky

Just try it and let me know :p

there's one thing i'm not sure of ,it's the ports, i don't know if i used the right ports, I went on this website: portforward.com , and i downloaded the app to know the appropriated ports to the modem for each game.
Ex: MW2 is: TCP&UDP 5223
UDP 3478,3479,3658
Do you know if that's right? I tried your solution (mystical) i changed 192.168.0.151 (i have 0.1^^) by 192.168.0.103 and ips of ports, i tried other ips but it's still not working T_T

This worked for me and couple other people here on NGU, Bridging your modem to your router will get you NAT type 1 or Nat type 2 100%

Modem Steps
1. Connect your DSL modem only (disconnect wifi router)
2. Go to the modem homepage, then go to DSL Connection>Configure Connection Find box with "PPPoE" change it to "bridged ethernet"
3. Save changes and restart

Router Steps
1. Connect router and modem
2. Go to router homepage, then go to setup and change your connection type to PPPoE enter the User Name and Password your ISP gave you.
3. Save changes, now go to the administration tab and find UPnP make sure that it is enabled, save changes there as well
4. Restart router and PS3

Also try this thread very well explained.

i can't make the difference between router and modem: we have 2 "boxes", one which gives internet placed in the center of the house, and a second one which is in my room connected with ethernet cable to the first "box" and it's like a new internet access point because they don't have the same ip (the first one is 192.168.1.1 and the other one 192.168.0.1) with as settings "dynamic ip address". Which one is the router and the modem ^^"?
