(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I jailbroke my ps3 probably a week before the 3.56 update. I had instilled blackb0x for mw2. When 3.56 came out, I updated my ps3 and noticed the ps3 was no longer jailbroken. I also then deleted the blackb0x. After a while, I got bored off modded MW2 so I deleted the modded patch and reinstalled the main one - was it 1.11 or something like that? My question is this - with the rumoured bans with the 3.60 update to come, will I be safe considering I am running on the main firmware again and not hacking in any way? A reply would be greatly appreciated!!

I think you should but when i was on CFW i wiped it through a .pkg. file

i think if you deleted all your homebrew products u should be fine.

BTW I DIDNT DELETE MW2 patch i still host ....

So it's just a matter of who's unlucky enough to still be jailbroken and/or running homebrew items (like blackb0x) when the update that comes out that will likely get banned? And it won't be like Sony will be viewing my history of FW updates that will cause a ban?

Nothing will happen to you if you have deleated everything. You can use a Log delete so you don't leave ANY trail that Sony can catch up from and Ban you and even Sue you.

And how do I use a log delete - does it require CFW? What about system restore? Can that wipe the history with that?

Dunno, ask experts in the subject. I never JB my console.

So these e-mails that Sony has been sending to people, what are they exactly telling the people to do? Just to delete their homebrew stuff and go back to the OFW and they'll be safe? It seems to me that 3.56 OFW was simply meant to revert people back to OFW from CFW so in the future not so many people will get banned with the 3.60 update. What are your thoughts guys?

By the way, upgrading from CFW on 3.55 to the OFW 3.56 would be considered un-jailbreaking your ps3, right?
