Im digging this, Sony's a dick. We buy a PS3 with OUR money. I hate ToS' There are the most shittiest gayest horriblest (idk if thats a word) Agreements in tehh world!!

Honestly, everyone is over exaggerating about this. PS3 and all Sony products are good the way they are, If you really want to hack and mod and crap, do it on a PC. Sony is just keeping their products in order and making sure everyone has a good gaming experience. I wouldn't want to get a PS3 for Christmas then try to play online and have it ruined because of mods and hacks. I know modded lobby's are fun, but with everyone having 3.55 CFW, it was getting a little out of hand.

Keeping their products in order? Do you realize that someone could steal your identity? Because Sony doesn't have an encryption when they send data, that is illegal. Credit card companys' require credit card numbers when sent over the internet to be encrypted. You wait you will be saying different once someone gets their credit card stolen by some hacker. This isn't about modded lobby's its about Sony breaking laws.

I agree that modded consoles should not be allowed on PSN. That is fine.

What is not fine is that whenever the PS3 boots, it scans your hard drives, usb drives and even computers connected in the same network...without logging onto PSN. Hey its MY PS3...they took out an advertised feature(otherOS) and now they are installing rootkits? Did you even read their latest PSN terms and conditions? If you agree, they have the right to auto upgrade your firmware, delete unauthorized software...even if it is not pirated...like homebrew. There is much more.

You are basically giving away your rights as a consumer. I would advice you to read this TOS...it is just crazy.

The one time I don't scan over ToS. It actually has crazy shit. Unbelievable.

On the topic of the thread, no matter what you do, it wont' be enough to do anything, you already BOUGHT the console, once you buy it, they don't a crap about you, there isn't any monthly fees their getting from you (besides PS+). Pretty much the only way to boycott would be to prevent people from buying the ps3 because the people that already bought ps3's can't boycott because they've already fallen to sony. And sony is too big of a company to really boycott against, there will always be the majority that wont. Sony has taken its power too far and put the world in a lock it can't escape. Its too late for this.
