Like many on this site, I myself have in turn 'jailbroken' my Playstation 3. After noticing numerous threads/posts based on many being scared and or afraid to be banned, one must speculate.

I personally feels as if we ourselves should have been aware of the consequences that came out of the Playstation jailbreak. When putting things into perspective, many have modded games and or even backed up free ones. It should be little surprise, if any that Sony is choosing to act as such. Those whom are now complaining and trying to undo the damage must realize that they should have thought about this exact scenario in the first place.

The motive behind this thread is to basically express my thoughts, as well as hear others, in regards to 'taking the risk' which many have done. With many acclaimed being banned, and the reported waves said to come, it is the idea that if you wished to stay on a clean slate, you in fact should never have participated in the Jailbreak. I for one understand that if Sony are to coming to ban things like my account, it is only in fair turn to all which I have gained from the hack made possible by numerous developers.

Discuss your opinion and perhaps why you chose to jailbreak your console in the first place. Do you believe that jailbreaking justifies a console/account ban?

I agree. I don't see why everyone is shitting themselves over updates and patches. A few months ago CFW didn't exist and everything was fine. Now every other thread is full of spam or some dumb kid crying because he had to update to 3.56. Now we're getting people complaining about being banned because the bypass methods are patched. Everyone just needs to update their ps3's and get the **** over it. Nothing lasts forever, no matter how much you try to avoid Sony, it's either update or get banned.

One reason why I am for Sony going down is, the risk of peoples' identity's being stolen. I mean its being sent across the internet with out any type of encryption. My second reason is OtherOS either we get it back or I want a refund.

I totally agree with you.

Well said, and I believe it all goes back to the idea of making the choice in the first place. As you said, update and get over it, and in the process trying to keep a clean slate along with PSN access. Or keep your desired homebrew, backed up material, etc.. but Do not complain when a ban in fact comes.

I have read material on what you are saying and I could not agree more. Being able to expose/ uncover ones personal identity and things such as credit cards, along with other information is outright ridiculous. Especially with the type of people within the world these days, who knows what precious information in the wrong hands could lead to, one can only speculate.

I also think that this 'hacking' mw2 and all other COD's has gone too far no, maybe people should grow up abit and play the game legit once in a while.

Thats only my opinion but meehhh.

Once again I would have to agree with you. In my honest opinion, this whole COD thing has gone too far in my books as well. There are many whom are going around claiming they are "hackers" due to the fact they can use FTP. What I think many fail to realize are developers and many others work so hard in order to help progress the whole gaming/console hacking scene. A bad name is put to this very topic thanks to those who simply try and leech their work and make it seems as if they are contributing, when they are not.

I hope that everyone who is caught is banned from PSN, they deserve it. Especially those little kids who think it is funny to derank anyone who joins there games, when in face that the people who they have deranked may of put in alot of time and effort and they ruin it all in less than a minute.
