Just because you are one of the most popular companies in the world does not mean you can force unfair rules upon us in order to use the online function. I can do whatever I WANT with my property. Once you sell something with your written code and hardware to us you can't stop us from getting whatever we want from it.

Lots of people have done this with Microsoft's Xbox 360. This results in a simple banning from running unsigned code while the unit is linked to the internet.

Now you can say that the newest hacks breeched security to the extent of signing games and therefore making them pirated is why you are suing these people. But it's not.

The first holes in the PS3's were exposed in the 3.41 firmware. You attempted to sue the developers that made a piece of hardware that was compatible with your device. Thats all it was.

Now you are stopping the use of all unapproved devices. I have been completely turned against SONY. The reason I bought your products was because they were so laidback compared to others. I liked that. I liked how you didn't really have to hype up products to get them on everyones mind.

For my next game console I will be buying Microsoft's.
For my next PC I will be buying Toshiba (instead of vaio)
For my next TV I will be buying a Panasonic (superior and cheaper than Bravia)

I will avoid all your products in the future. So will a lot of the people I know.

You have ruined your reputation with a once loyal fan base. The only time I will ever buy your products in the future is to expose there security flaws

I bought my PS3 to use Linux on it. I also linked it up with the internet to
stay in touch with my mates online. Then you removed the Linux feature in a
sly update. I didn't expect when my console rebooted I would have lost one
of my favorite and advertised features. Can you understand why I'm
frustrated now? These new terms are unfair. I should be aloud do whatever I
WANT WITH MY PROPERTY. When I buy your product I expect that to be the end
of it. I cannot believe that you are contacting and threatening people that
did what they wanted with they're property. Can you please explain why you
are doing this in normal language? I don't want a reply with a copy and
pasted statement

If you are so confident that your console was and I quote "unhackable" why did you remove other os? All you have to do is ban anyone that trys to use a modded console on PSN....So will you please explain in average human language the questions I asked you in my previous questions in my last message

To protect the intellectual property of the content offered on the PS3 system as well as to provide a more secure system for those users who are enjoying games and other entertainment content on the PS3 system, we have decided to delete the feature to address security vulnerabilities of the system. If a user (of a previous model) updates their PS3 system to ver. 3.21, users will no longer be able to use the “Other OS” feature (or access the data used by the other OS) regardless of what other OS is installed in the system. The update is optional and users can continue to use the “Other OS” feature if they do not update their system software. However, if a user chooses not to upgrade their PS3 systems, some of the features will no longer be available.

Are you simple? You managed to spell my name wrong again...the point is I
thought it was just a maintenance update and didnt think that you would take
one of my most treasured features off of me. Now your sueing people for
doing their hobby? Just because they are smarter than all of your
programmers. I cannot believe what a greedy corporation you have become.
The main point is Other Os was a key selling point of the PS3 and it is
illegal to remove that. But because you are such a power hungry company you
did it and remained untouched.
I will never buy another Sony product again. That ranges from earphones to
top notch electronics like HDTV's and Gaming Consoles

However, whenever a system software update is released any changes being made will be in the Terms and Conditions of the system update. When the 3.21 update was released removing all other operating systems, it was stated that all other operating systems will no longer be available for use on the PlayStation 3 system, before the update is processed, causing the consumer to accept this before going forward with the update. Consumers and organizations that were currently using the “Other OS” feature could choose not to upgrade their PS3 systems. Please understand that your concerns have been heard, I will be sure to convey your feedback to the appropriate management.
