Ninja Gaiden 3 is an upcoming video game the sequel to Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden II, developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo Koei. While sharing the same number as the Nintendo Entertainment System game Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, it is not a conversion of that older title. The game will be the first in the second Ninja Gaiden series which has no involvement with series producer Tomonobu Itagaki who left Team Ninja after the second game in the series. The game will explore Ryu's more human side as he descends into a hellish realm.

The game was announced at a closed-door event at the Tokyo Game Show 2010 by Tecmo Koei, at the announcement no platforms were announced though a teaser image showing a bloody Ryu Hayabusa was released. Yosuke Hayashi said to IGN that, on the teaser image, "Ryu is unmasking himself, and it's a way of attracting people to his world. We are trying to have people enter the real Ryu Hayabusa. The amount of blood doesn't revolve around the idea of killing people, either; it could also be Ryu's blood. We're focusing not only on cutting people but also Ryu himself."

Judging by the amount of blood, I hope they've re-added the gore factor that they decided to cut from Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2!

One of the most frustrating games on the franchise... Ninja Gaiden Sigma was frustrating as hell... Sigma 2 was not as much but still was.... however i did enjoy Sigma 2, it was a lot easier to pull off awesome looking moves and the checkpoint system was a lot better... But there is still a lot of scope for improvement...

With a more balanced gameplay ninja gaiden 3 can be a winner!!

Cheers!!

Dam losers
People that think this series is crap is because the game is challenging. The games are so much fun. I hope they don't make the game too easy, but I understand because they would something that anyone can pick up and play, and enjoy. That's more money.

I partially agree... Agree with the part that most ppl don like the game cos its challenging... But i feel this game is more frustrating than challenging.. I love challenging games... i am on new game++ on Demon's Souls.... Demon's Souls is a lot more challenging than Ninja Gaiden but not as cheap.....

I never enjoyed Ninja gaiden Sigma cos:

The game is utter frustrating with weird check point system...
There have been instances in ninja gaidne where i have cleard out an entire roomof enemies and when i get back to the room, the enemies are back as well (respawning enemies = Not cool :nSmile...
Enemies attck you from no where as a result of poor camera (which does not show from where you are being attacked)

A lot of these issues were corrected in Sigma 2 and i enjoyed the game more than Sigma, but Sigma 2 did get a little uneven when it came to difficulty...Hope all these gameplay issues are ironed out in Sigma3...
