No Because your using Yellow White and red cables to operate it unless
their is you have a Y,W,R to HDMI Cable than no Best guess to record in HD is a PVR it records up to 1080i But its a bit pricey I got mine on Black Friday:black: and I got it for 100$ on Best Buy
My Opinion is start with a Dazzle as time goes on and you feel like you need better equipment then get a HD PVR
