This week's paper thin Grand Theft Auto IV rumour is, we have to admit, a particular pathetic one but with the continued lack of any official news it's still got fans in a lather anyway.

We're not sure who it is that goes around the Internet reading obscure voice actor's CVs (actually we do, it was someone on the forums of website MaxConsole) but when the listing for Grand Theft Auto V was spotted alarm bells started ringing.

The only problem is that the actor claims it was all a mistake and he merely forgot to add the 'I' in front of the 'V'. Or at least that's the story he told website CVG.

Unless he's lying that means that still nobody has a clue when the next Grand Theft Auto will be coming out, where it'll be set or even whether it'll be a full sequel or not.

The last guess from analysts was that it wouldn’t be out before next spring, but it's not likely they have any more insider information to go on than Mr Mulvey.

Whatever the case it now seems almost impossible that the game would be released this year, not without the Internet having caught a real whiff of it by now.
