As you can see on these theme previews, there is install packages on the ps3, it must be a developers ps3, but why would they need install packages??

Yeah I believe this shit. I bet the developers took the cfw and use it like anyone else would. If they can sign a .pkg file or use one of the newer tools to sign it, they could put whatever they want on their ps3's.
