call sony first and ask whats wrong . then if they charge you like 150$ for a repair you can easily go get it repaired at a ps3 repair specialist . i did this when i got a ylod and he only charged 40$ . And if he couldn't fix it , he gave u your money back

I have that same problem with one of my ps3 n iv tried everything the ylod fix and swhiched hdds and still got nothing sony sed it could b a motherboard problem atleast thats wat they told me
