(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Homefront's begun appearing on popular torrent sites -- it happens. No matter how hard some publishers and developers try, there's always someone that has to spill others' hard work onto the Internet. THQ were clearly prepared for this, as they have a little surprise for those who try playing Homefront online with a pirated copy.

Those who try accessing Homefront's multiplayer portion will not be able to. Why? Because of the game's online code system known as "Battlecodes." You see, pirated versions don't come with the code -- unlike the real thing -- and so they simply cannot access it.

And for those wishing to find a Battlecode, they're currently on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for over 9,000 Microsoft points -- that's the equivalent of just over $80. If pirates torrenting Homefront aren’t willing to pay for the actual game, I doubt they’ll want to shell out $80 to play online for a while before they appear on Kaos Stuidos and THQ’s radar.
