There's no benefit to 3.60 cfw, other than psn access.
But you can go on psn with 3.55. So 3.60 cfw isn't needed.
I accidentally updated to 3.56 (well, my buddy did) before I could find anything for 3.55 (my computer was down, that makes it hard).
Yes, I would prefer a downgrade rather than a 3.60 cfw. The reason I'm still on 3.56 is because 3.60 is total rape-age on your PS3, and the only good thing that 3.60 has is online "Saved Game" storage, but I have USB flash drives galore, that equate to way more than 150mb...
I have a tough time believing anything 3.60 anyways; the security is completely different, Sony took out loaders, and properly protected things that are used by the PS3 scene devs.
