everytime i do this with whateva firmware e.g 3.21 or 3.55 etc it says checking and comes back with " data is corrupt (8002f2b5)" error code

i have read in a few places that without the original hard drive you cannot get past this, but there must be a way as i didnt recieve it with a hdd.
someone must know how to get round this fault

any help would be really appreciated im not a noob who doesnt know a thing im just a noob on this site

Nobody is like me
Try going into Recovery mode and try some options in there to enter recovery you:

1. Turn PS3 on holding power button, than it powers off.
2. Turn ps3 back on by holding it until you hear 2 beeps than Release.
3.Plug in remote and voila Smile

You need a new hdd
Or completely wipe the current hdd

its not a hard drive issue from what i can find out, its a software issue on the ps3. i have tried 4 differant hdd 3 with differant firmware and one that is completely blank and new
all with the same error message

i have tried all 6 of the options in recovery mode and they all either give me the same " date corrupt 8002f2c5" or they jus restart the console to the start screen were it says the system software failed to start etc...

Your stuck in an update loop, only way to get out of it is to ship this to sony

what about trying it with a hard drive that has 3.21 insalled on it? or putting the had drive into a pc and reformatting it so its a completly blank fat 32?

could send it back to sony but my warrenty sticker isnt intact
