Well, their the ones that know what they're doing, if they are sure that it won't be patched then I believe them. Still, I have to say that Sony have done rather well regaining control of their console (even if it is temporary) and they may be able to do it again since they always have the upper hand.

Well, they said the PS3 would never be entirely fixed after the root key was found. Which is true, but Sony did well at making it allot harder to exploit 3.56 and 3.60.
