EA has just recently announced they will be going offline for the Crysis 2's recently released demo on the Playstation Network. Not much information has been released besides the message they have left all of us Crysis fans a little message regarding the new game for the Playstation 3. Here's the message they posted for all of you who don't know why it has gone offline:

“Thank you for your interest in the PlayStation 3 version of the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo. Though many gamers have had a great experience playing the demo, we are aware that others have been experiencing server connection delays. We’ve identified the root cause and have decided to close the PS3 demo in the next 24 hours to ensure all issues are resolved when the game launches next week. Our priority is to ensure that the final product is flawless at launch.”

Judging by the message, EA is waiting for a 'flawless' version of the demo to be ready for release, with no problems (that they know of), to make the demo / game a lot more enjoyable for the average gamer. Also, the game is released next week, so if you've already played the demo before it was shut down, you got an exclusive 'sneak peek' of the game.

It was good. But it was very laggy. I guess it was only the demo so I do expect the full game to be better.

Yeah, that's why they had to shut the demo off, because there were way too many problems.

Yah some days I couldn't even get on it. It would always say my network connection was bad. I really wanted to play since all my other games got boooring. :420:

i played a little bit of the xbox beta a while back but for the ps3 players that don't have a xbox, that is pretty bad marketing imo. i tried playing for the 3 days i had it and it never worked. not good to release a demo a week before launch that doesn't work.
