I am playing Black Ops regularly and after maybe 3 or 4 games it just signs me out. It tells me "You have been disconnected from the access point". I can't sign back in and play anymore. I have to restart my PS3 and then i can sign back in. The internet on my computer works fine but my PS3 connection just shuts off.
yeah, usually when you get the "Disconnected from Access Point" that means it's a problem with your outer. the router is either resetting because it sucks, or there's some connectivity problems.

Sounds like either your going in and out of range of the router. How far away are your router and Ps3 from each other?
My router is downstairs and my ps3 is upstairs. My connection is 57%.

This is basically your router has lost enough Bandwidth to your PS3, I recommend you buy a better Router.
Dlink has some really great ones, especially ones for gaming

Also if it's not still working you can try and troubleshoot your router and modem. It can reset itself to where if there was a hiccup between the Modem and router that it could of fixed it.
There could be many reasons as to why you got disconnected. Broken connection meaning you could have gone out of access point, broken router or modem. It also could do with just what provider you have and if they are having problems. You can contact them and see why you have are having these issues and they can better assist you than I can. (Just my thought on the matter).
Hope I helped ya and others before me that posted here to try and help you out.
