From Dust, a god-simulating game where whatever you do, changes the world. Yes, you're in control of a whole world. The most amazing part about it, is that every single game has a different format of the civilization. So if you have two different savegames on two different accounts, both of your games will look insanely different, which makes the game very unique to gamers.
The game was debuted as a 'private tech demo' at the GamesCom and the GDC last year, and it got a lot of attention! The game is developed by Ubisoft's Erich Chahi, who is the designer of Out of This World and Heart of Darkness.
The game is slightly simple, you can create ANYTHING you want that involves nature, rivers, sand, water, volcanoes, trees, mountains, but if you make a mistake, it changes the whole world completely changes to the worst, and the native people who are depending on you to keep them safe from nature, suffers.
If you're wondering why people are comparing From Dust to Crysis 2, then you haven't seen the screenshots, and trailers released to the public lately.
You are creating the world, and changing it to any way you see fit. So take a look at these screenshots and tell me: Is it competition to Crysis 2?
Also, if you're wondering why their comparing this game to Crysis 2, it's because of how vulnerable C2 is. Did you notice every top-graphic game is futuristic with 'sleek' armor? It's because it's easier to design, but with From Dust, their designing both nature, and people, which is amazing. Here's a screenshot of how the characters will look like in-game:
Here is some trailer and video to wrap up this little review. These clips will sell you over like they sold over alot of other people, please give me feedback! The game is set to release in Q2 of 2011 for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.[/font]
