Here are my 2, for Guildwars Prophecies (A Computer Game) and NHL 2K8
NHL 2K8 Review!
Introduction: This fast paced game will challenge you in all different ways. You will need to learn techniques, learn about team work, and you must be able to make your own strategies to beating opponets. Im going to talk about why this game got a 4 out of 5 stars.
Okay, to get started, the graphics are moderatly good.. the only con about the graphics were the crowd.. although they put fun into the games.. they could have done better on the movements.. all in all the graphics got a 3/5
For the Controls- The Controlls were moderatly easy to conquer. Although 2K Classic was better (Which is an option as a mode), the new controls put a twist on it. All in all the controls got a 4/5
The Gameplay. Being able to check players that make you mad, having speed boost, and being the best team in the league, the gameplay was great. You are never TOO overpowering unless you are in rookie mode. Superstar mode on the other hand is very hard and the pros have troubles with them. All in all the gameplay got a 5/5
Live - Xbox Live for this game was horrible. The reason for it being horrible is because all people went on for was this achievement. The achievement was to leave an online game 10 times... that got quite annoying. Today nobody ever plays online and if your wanting this game JUST for online gameplay.. dont buy it.
Last but not least, Extra features had "good" thoughts put in to them. Like every sports game you could make your own player. You could make your player maxed out on every skill, or go the hard way and make him better through the season. The Franchise was O.K. they definatly could have done better with the skit for winning the stanley cup. The achievements in this game were fairly hard to get, and for sure took time.. considering half of the achievements were based on careful planning and luck, they could have played out the achievements better. All in all the extras got a 3/5
So if your a gamer that doesnt care much if you play online or not, and like a good old challenge this is the game for you!
Guildwars Prophecies Review!
Introduction: This MMORPG is a very anticipated game, that a lot of people have put a LOT of hours into. Prophecies, the first campaign of the other 3, is where most players put most of their time into. Check out to see why this game got a 5/5 stars, and the Kickass Game award of 2005!
Graphics - The Graphics in Guild Wars were VERY well done. The facial features on your character were excellent, and the scenery was amazing. You could run through the whole game and think to yourself.. wow. I wonder how long this took them to do this. The monsters had great graphics and the spells had neat symbols whilst casting. All in all the Graphics got a 5/5.
Gameplay - The Gameplay in this game was better than any game you could imagine. With the storyline being something that you get hooked on, this game was surely addicting. The gameplay inlcluded being able to make friends whilst doing missions. You definatly had to work together to complete it, or you could just bring some henchmen, computers, to aid you. The Campaign would put you through twists and turns, shock and awe, and last but not least excitement. Guilds are a big part of Guild Wars, hence the name, and were where most people made their friends. Guilds are a friendly group of people that help eachother and battle against other guilds. All in all the Gameplay got a 5/5
Controls - Really all you had to do was use your mouse to move around, and use your keyboard for typing. The controls took minutes to master, and were very easy to use. All in all the Controls got a 5/5
Online - Although you didnt have a choice if you were online or offline, everybody went on the game to play.. it was your choice if you wanted to join their group, and if you did you could work together as a team. There are 5 Different ways to talk. Public Chat, Guild Chat, Team Chat, Trade Chat, and Whisper. Public Chat is used to talk to the people that were in the same outpost/town as you. Be warned though, if your filter is off, you can hear ANYTHING people say.. Guild Chat is used to talk to your guild, if you need help, and your in a good enough Guild, you could ask for it, and hope someone says something back saying they can help you. It is also used just to chat with your friends... tell jokes, and talk about random stuff. The Team Chat is used to talk to the other people that have joined your group, it could be for missions, quests, or even just hanging out. Trade Chat is the chat used to sell whatever you want. You could type in; WTS Blue Dye for 300g, and people would look at what you said, and you hope that somebody is interested in buying it. Last but not least, the Whisper chat is like a private chat. You can privatly talk to one person, and it is not shared with anybody Else. All in All online got a 4.5/5
So if you like chatting to people all different ages, like spending hours and hours on pure fun, and like crazy wicked storylines, along with amazing graphics, Guildwars is the game for you!
