Cons?
Will I get banned?
Can it screw up my system?

Pros of JBing- Unlimited access to almost everything on your PS3. and hacking and modding games.
Cons- Might need multiple Ps3s if it bricks during the JB, might be hard to get back online if Sony increases there defense of stopping the hacks.
Banned- Yes, there is a possibility you will get banned if Sony catch's you.
Can it screw up my system- yes, JBing your Ps3 will damage your PS3. Heck, even getting into CL's without you hosting damaged your Ps3.

You forgot to mention another pro and con! Pro you can get backups of games therefore never having to pay those extortionate prices again (have you a rental place near you?)

Cons well each time sony catch up and patch one way of getting online you may be waiting a few weeks to get back online again. (but think of all the games you will be able to enjoy whilst waiting!)
