This was based on Operation Italy. It sums up what Anonymous is, and what they are for. They aren't in stance to piss everyone off, and turn everyone against them. They are in place for you. They keep the greed, the crooked judicial system off the backs of the people. Sony is trying to take away the privilege of owning your console. It CLEARLY does not state in their TOS that you, as a owner of the newly purchased system, are not renting it. It is rightfully yours, and until the purpose is served, Anonymous will not stop.
Never-Give-Up. Never give in to the greed of billion dollar corporations. They are attacking YOUR rights. They're abusing their power, and attacking a young man who showed the world that we, as people, can do what we want with our console. There will be people who will despise what Anon does, and there will be people who are for it. For everybody's sake, be thankful there is someone such as Anonymous to keep our technological freedom in order. There's a lot of hypocrisy that seeps through the judicial system. Our cause, is your cause.

I don't get why so many people fail to understand exactly what the lawsuit is about. Sony does not give 2-shits how you modify your system. What they care about, is that these modifications are being made and are being DISTRIBUTED. These modifications that lead to piracy and of disruption of their online services.
If Geohot, and anyone else for that matter, managed to modify their system, but never distributed the tools allowing others to bypass these security features and allow those kinds of things mentioned above, this lawsuit would never happened.
They are not protecting anyone's rights except other hackers who want to abuse these features for their own personal gain. Very few are actually utilizing these wanted features for honest purposes. They want to take them online or use them to avoid buying games.
If there was a 100% safe method for allowing these features to exist, without any risk to piracy or the online security, they'd be allowing it. But right now, there is too much risk, and the information currently out there allows people to abuse these features.

It not a noble group or attack.
Does nothing to help the lawsuit
If you want to help then talk to people in your local area about changing the law. (People in power) Before you do that take time to look at the effects changing the law would have.

Anonymous clearly states, and aims that you all understand...'We are against war.' You all claim that they're stupid, and they're just pissing about by being greedy, or trying to show a point, or get a laugh from people. What you fail to see, is there's a cause behind it, and through everything Anon does, has a cause. 'Your cause, is our cause'.

That's understandable....but the idea of Anonymous lies within this target. They are targeting one man. One soul, because he proved their stupidity, and showed that they have failed. Their jealousy is deemed unrealistic, and unimaginable, and they have taken this beyond what any person could grasp. You don't go as far as Sony has gone. It will not go unnoticed.
