I checked my Port forwarding settings and that the ps3 still had a static ip address. What should I do? I really want to be able to get host again.

Mine is like that too. It gives me open when no one else is on the internetz but moderate when anyone gets on. Try asking your family members to turn off their internetz.

follow the tutorial here on opening your nat. there is more than just checking that you have a static ip. try to dmz it or open all the recommended ports if you havent already
