I'm kinda stuck as i have a PS3 Slim on 3.60 normal updates and i don't know if to ask my friend if he will swap with me as he has a PS3 (fatty) on the first ever update. (He bought the PS3 like the 2nd week they came out and has never connected it to the internet or updated through media)

Should I?

Also if i were to run the 3.55 jailbreak would it actually work lol?

lets say we did swap, should i jailbreak it to 3.55 but stay offline OR keep it on the first update.

update to 3.55 and CFW it, first update can do nothing on it if im correct, or you could go to 3.21 if im correct and create a CFW or MFW as it called, and still have the other os

tbh , dont risk your money on saving a few buck or pounds on game , use your ps3 to its potential ,

depends on what you want it for? If it is for online play then leave it you are in a good position as your mfw is up to date. If it is for offline (until the bypass is found) then by all means swap! You will then have access to jb on 3.55 and multiman so that you can back up games and these are so much cheaper than buying them!!

buy his ps3, update to 3.41 and then buy a psjailbreak! or run a CFW
