The Internet browser of the PlayStation 3 was a terrible browser, just when the console was released. Over the years this has been some improvements, but the browser is still not what it should be. Many people call or even years for a firefox or google chrome browser on our beloved console, these people were waiting impatiently to get their way.

Sony has a webkit source for their PS3 web browser and can You must login or register to view this content. be found. Here you can see several things that Sony has updated on March 31 for pilot testing.

im going through ps3-webkit-support.diff because I'm bored. Looks like we're actually getting Chrome, since Geoff's added a couple of files for ChromeClientPOSIX. Looks like we're getting Chrome Actually, since Geoff's added a couple of files for ChromeClientPOSIX.

Naturally the full source of his changes are in that .diff file also. Naturally the full source of His changes are in that. Diff file also. From what I can tell, the posix platform only refers to the PS3 in webkit, it doesn't show up at all in the mainline source code (unix versions are typically under their widget library, like Qt or gtk). There's a lot of functions that aren't implemented, but they're mainly ones that involve windowing that you wouldn't expect to be supported on the PS3. This might not mean much since I don't see the cool stuff from Chrome in these sources, like bookmark syncing, but it's a huge freaking project., and the diff only covers what needed to be changed so it works on the PS3. It might not even get Chrome branding visible to the user, but I think if he's calling it ChromeClient, we can expect good things for the future. Here he found so many things related to a web browser Chrome for the PS3. Het ziet er dus naar uit we een nieuwe internetbrowser in de nabije toekomst kunnen verwachten voor de PS3. It looks like we are in a new browser in the near future, expect for the PS3.

Update: A lot of people have noticed and read our news. Ook de website PS3Center.net . The website PS3Center.net. Google Said here:

I'm afraid we have nothing to announce at this time.

The typical answer is when one is not ready to announce anything. Ze ontkennen het in ieder geval al niet. They deny it in any case not.
