as most of u know, the psn server is down....
but, no1 that i hav heard from can pin-point (including SONY) the cause of this ps crysis, as i like to call it
a popular theory that i have heard thrown around by mostly my friends and 4chan users is..... 4chan, yes,
4chan the asshole of the internet, we all love 4chan, but is 4chan and it's users the ones behind this chaos of biblical proportions?
because as alot of u may already know, SONY have all credit card numbers of people that have previously used the ps store with a credit card, and that is an awful lot of money!,, u realy do not want 4chan with that kind of information.
so i ask u, wat do u guys think?? :y:

Does it matter if they have it? If they use it online the companies will be forced to hand over IP's, in real life store owners forced to release video etc. There's a little something called 'bank insurance' for this stuff, bank robberies, etc..

By definition, DDoS attackers could definitely be considered hackers. They're accessing data / blocking data while unauthorized to do so.
And Anon isn't just a bunch of 15-year-old DDoSers, that's /b/. Anonymous are rights activists.
Hacking is the art of exploitation, and that's exactly what Anonymous has been doing -- exploiting and utilizing faults in a system for our and their own gain (except, of course, in this instance which could have possibly been them or the instance a few weeks ago.) while, of course, raising awareness of things that the government and large corporations are trying to censor.
This is a gaming forum, so naturally the whole PSN DDoS thing is the only thing half the people on this site have heard about Anon doing.
Did you know they stopped a pedophile from raping a few kids, and saved a cat's life? They put a few potential terrorists away, as well. Among other things, of course, but those are just a couple of things they've done. And with project Chanology, Libya, Iran, etc... they've made quite an impact.
They may not be the best "hackers", but they've made a damn well larger impact than we will ever as individuals.

well, actually that statement is not true, 4chan (mostly /b/) have already hacked into various 'high security' data bases,
for example, they hacked into a government data base, so that all the printers wouldnt stop printing cp, i expect u no wat that is with ur /b/ reference before, so if they can hack into a security system like that, then they have no problem with hacking into the playstation network,
but, having said that, this is all a joke, dont get to mad:carling:
