Also if you say your going to get an Xbox 360 then go right ahead, have fun paying money to play online. Xbox will always have maintenance downtime just like Ps3 does. Xbox live was shut down for 2 weeks at one time. 2 WEEKS, PSN isn't even close to that length yet, so things could be a lot worse.

Basically guys, you have to learn accept things for what they are. Because unless you work at Sony, you can't do anything about it so just get over it. The reason Sony is taking so long to bring the PSN back up is because they are putting a more advanced firewall in so something like this can be prevented in the future.

The thing is that sony lets their ps3 get attacked by gay hackers, instead of having it secure enough. Who are we going to blame? We can't just say "o they're being hacked, who cares lets get over it" They're being hacked, that's a huge flaw in their security, why put credit card details or pay for games in a system that gets hacked, it doesn't even get dlcs on time, it gets it late and xbl has way more things to offer, that's why must ppl want to get an xbox.

And if i recalled you can get a JTagged 360, their console was hacked also they just took control before it got out of hand. excuse sony, i'm sure they didn't think they would get DDos attacks from their users. It was hacked by a group of hackers, first it was psjailbreak, then it was cfw. Sony didn't spend a penny on security at all, because I never heard of such a website from a company that makes billions get ddos by hackers, that's impossible unless their website was created and hosted by five year olds. That's my point, why would sony let microsoft pay for good exclusives, microsoft pays for exclusives that we would all like, like dlc first, while sony pays for the baby stuff. It had already got out of hand with psjailbreak, it looked like they took control over cfw because all you needed was a 10$ usb to hack it, but they never took control over cfw or psjailbreak, 3.55 cfw and its keys is available all over the internet, you can get a 3.55 or 3.41 ps3 and hack it, just like you can get a xbox and hack it, of course 3.55 cfw got out of hand.

Hackers didn't cause the problem this time. PlayStation is re-building the network from scratch to strengthen security and improve performance.
