(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, My PS3 has been hooked up via HDMI since I got it 3 years ago.. now all of a sudden it no longer gets recognized on my TV. My TV can tell it has a HDMI input connection, but when I flick to that channel, it no longer brings up my PS3, just shows no signal.

I brought my PS3 up to one of my standard tube TV's and it worked normally.

I reset the Display settings (turned off the PS3, held the power button till I heard 2 beeps then shut off) and still nothing..

I changed to another HDMI input slot on my TV and nothing..

What do I do to resolve this issue? I've tried almost everything.

Try a different HDMI cable, it may be broken. You could use the regular cables until you get it fixed. Use the regular cables to set up the connection again from the ps3, the connection maybe bad, set it up and if that doesn't work it may be your tv.

Do a barrel roll!
Cant remember which ones, but inside the port on the PS3 there are a few copper contacts that wear down over time. Mine was scraped off (Lots of inserting and pulling since I take my PS3 when I go from project to project), and i had to replace the port. But in the beginning I got away with swabbing it with alcohol using a thin cotton swab and leave it to dry for 5 minutes.

If this fail, check the soldering on the motherboard, and do a quick heatgun treatment on them.

this should solve your problem follow the instruction
1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

I went through all that, as of right now my PS3 will work with component, and AV cables, after i reset the display settings, it won't do anything with my HDMI cable, and I've tried 5 now.. Maybe I need to bring it in to sony? I've tried almost everything I could.

If you have the extended warranty, then yes, let them fix it. If not, try the methods i describe.

I had this and mr bear is correct it was the wires needed resoldering! BUt you may as well take it back under your warranty!
